FOOTBALL GAME:
Draw a football field on a chalk board or something you have and name some plays come up with a through z and name some good plays like a touchdown for hard question and like a 30 yard catch for an easy question. Name some penalties and name them as you do the plays except name the 1 through 26.

>On the count of 1..2..3 have the children release the balloon into the
>air and follow it with their eyes as it disappears into the sky...

A cautionary note regarding this activity - although it definitely is a
wonderful lesson for the kids, it is potentially environmentally
hazardous. Helium balloons, released into the air, pose a threat to birds
and sea life, who may ingest them with fatal results. I realize this is
only one balloon, but it is really on my heart, in this age of
disposables, that we need to help our kids learn to be good stewards of
God's beautiful gift to us of our earth. After all, He put us in charge
of it (Gen. 1:26,28)!

Along those lines, I am looking for craft or
cooking ideas (for K-4th gr.) that would help teach environmental
responsibility - anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
Kit MacLeod, North Palm Beach, FL

(From Christian Crafters.Com: Thank you Kit, for this reminder on being good stewards! Does anyone have another idea as to making the same lesson point without using helium balloons?)

I got this from our Children's choir director. Thought it was cute. Please pass along to the Sunday School Teacher" Network.
