1) Finding answers in the Archives?

I am kind of frustrated right now..either last year or the year before
there were ideas for how to have like a last week of the Savior through
out the Sunday School classes on Easter..ending with the empty tomb and
celebration of the ressurection. The discussion went on for several
weeks. Some how i have lost those...and I have spent the last 6 hours
putting in search words..reading the archives, and just trying to find
them...cna you help me please?/ I don't know what other subject word to
fill in..
Thank you
Shoshana

--from SSTN: Dear Shoshana,  thank you, thank you, thank you for checking
the archives first! If you know that the discussion was in the last few
weeks, just check the last few issues that are listed in the Archives
List, rather than use keywords in the search engine:
http://christiancrafters.com/archives.html
If anyone else knows what Shoshana is referring to, please tell me and
I'll post it again. ysic, sarah <><

2) Miracles of Jesus?

Our classes meet once a month (1st Sunday night of each month).   Ages
are 3 years of age up to 6th grade.    We try to have a theme and for
March, I am looking at the theme MIRACLES OF JESUS.     I have some
ideas:  Jesus turning water to wine, healing the blind man, walked on
water.    I am looking for game suggestions to go along with these
ideas.    I also need a snack.    Any suggestions or ideas will be
greatly appreciated.    In Christ, Trevia/North Carolina

6) Valentines Craft / Mothers and Fathers Day

Are you Familiar with Creative Memories? It's designed photo's with
backgrounds Theme's and stickers.  For Valentines Craft you can create
beautiful backgrounds with hearts and scriptures on how much
Jesus Love's you, leave some blank spaces for the pictures of your
students, in black ink write in Insert your photo here, in different
spots.  This will give every student a vision of themselve and the reality
of how great Jesus's love is for them.  Example scriptures is YOU ARE
WONDERFULLY AND BEAUTIFULLY MADE (write insert your baby picture).Precious
are the thoughts I have of you the out number the grains of sand (picture
of the beach- insert photo of yourself) . You can use this for Mother's
day with Virtue's mother scriptures and Father's Day.

7) Ideas to incorporate into Baptism?

I am not sure if you can help me but my 3rd child is due soon and so I am
looking for some ideas that I may incorporate into his/her Baptism
ceremony.  It will be a private
ceremony with family and friends.  I didn't have much choice in the
Baptism of my other two children.  My current priest seems open to any
ideas I propose.
Thanks
DB

8) Christmas tree to Cross

> I was curious if you know of a craft
>in which smaller limbs from the Christmas tree are used to make
>crosses---the idea being to "connect" the Christmas baby to Jesus of Good
>Friday/Easter.

I have seen an idea which takes a portion of the trunk of a Christmas tree
and you make a cross out of it
so that it is flat on the bottom.  then you drill 6 (or 7?) holes in
it.  four (or 5) down the vertical piece and 1 in each side of the
horizontal piece.
This creates a Lenten wreath (along the lines of an advent wreath) used
for
each week during Lent.  There were Bible verses and a short
object lesson for each week.  I never used this although I thought it was
a
GREAT idea -- it ties Easter to Christmas in many ways, 1 - is the
"Waiting" aspect as we wait for Christ's arrival during Advent (and if you
use the advent wreath like we do, light a candle for each week with a
Bible
verse and object lesson) and actually uses a portion of the Christmas tree
to make the Cross for the Lenten "wreath" I think if you drill a 7th hole
in the center of the cross that would be the White candle to light on
Easter to signify Christ's resurrection - similar to the White candle lit
on Christmas Eve to signify Christ's birth.

I hope this helps!  And If anyone has done this and remembers the verses
and meanings used for each of the 6 weeks of Lent I would appreciate that
information before I start from scratch on it!

9) Tune for Old Testament Books?

I was wondering if anyone out there knows a tune to help children learn

11) Need Inexpensive Rewards/Awards?

We are looking for inexpensive rewards/awards  for our children.    We
have used in the past tshirts, hats, hat pins, and medallions.   I have
been looking (and been unsuccessful) in finding inexpensive charm
bracelets.     We would like to have something that we can build on.
That's what we were doing with the hats/hat pins.    The children are
getting tired of the hat pins.     If you have any suggestions, please
let me know.    We need something for a boy and something for a girl.
It would be great if we could get something universal for
both.      Thank You, Trevia/North Carolina

Adam is the only man with one less rib. Men and women have the same number
of ribs.
