1)
Vision for Children's Ministry

Anne
I think the Lord is showing all of us that we need a vision from God for our Children. Plans can always change, but never a vision from the Lord. Last night we had a meeting and all of the children's pastors and workers are now praying and waiting on the Lord for a vision for His Holy Offspring. In my heart I long for all children, no matter the age to be saved and to be baptized in the Holy Spirit.

Please let us know if any of you get a vision from the Lord.
Cornelia

2) Vision for Children's Ministry

The Apostle Paul lays out a vision for us all in Philippians 3:10, "I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection..."

The way we teach these truths will vary, but our lessons should always include the following elements:

a) To KNOW CHRIST: "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?" (Romans 10:15)

Our lessons should always include elements of the Gospel message, so that every time we meet with our children, they understand what it means to know Christ.

b) The POWER of HIS RESURRECTION: "But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive." (1Corinthians 15:20-22)

"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead..." (Ephesians 1:17-20)

The Greek word used for the power that exerted Christ from the dead is dunamis, the same word we use for dynamite. In other words, the same dynamite power that raised Jesus from the dead, allows us to live out our Christian lives!

No matter where you open the Scriptures, it's about Jesus. The Garden of Eden? (Jesus is the second Adam. Romans 5:14ff.) The Exodus? (Jesus is our Passover Lamb. 1 Corin. 5:7) The Ten Commandments? (He will write his laws on the hearts of those who believe. Hebrews 10:15)

"...beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he (Jesus) explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself." Luke 24:27

These foundational truths are laid out in our Bible-4-Life curriculum. Check them out at:

3) Western Themed Object Lesson?

Hi,
My name is Tammy and I help lead a midweek children's group at our church. We are planning a western theme for a special event and are having difficulty finding an object lesson that goes along with the theme. Any ideas would be appreciated. Please email me at wadewhite@nf.sympatico.ca

6) Global Day of Prayer

What seemed impossible has become a reality: 1 city in 2001, 1 nation in 2002, 1 continent in 2004 and NOW hundreds of millions of people from thousands of cities in every single country of the world will be joining for the Global Day of Prayer on May 31!

Thursday, the 21st of May (Ascension Day) sees the start of the 10 days of prayer leading up to the Global Day of Prayer. This is an opportunity to unite in prayer, praying day and night from the Lord’s Prayer, with millions of Christians around the world.

Who would have ever imagined the day when the whole earth would be covered with the prayers of the saints, from the rising of the sun in the East to it’s setting in the West? That day has dawned on us in a time and season of desperation. Let us now pray in faith that He who is able to accomplish abundantly more than we can pray or think, will hear our prayers and heal our land and the nations of the world.
