He's Risen Egg Holders

Use a child-friendly Bible and the twelve He's Risen Egg Holders to tell
the Easter story. Each egg picture is numbered to correspond with its
explanation. Let your class color and cut their own set. Get the free
"Palm Branches" pattern with explanations at:

2) Mentally Challenged Child

It has been a little while since our son was in AWANA but I seem to recall
that they had a special curriculum for mentally challenged youth. This
might be more appropriate and less frustrating for a special needs child.
Does your club go all the way to JV or Varsity? If not you may have
someone who has aged out of your club that could be a good one-on-one
resource to help with this girl.

By the way, I would question why a child who appears to be 10 is not in
some educational setting. There are always unusual circumstances but
public
schools must provide services to all children no matter what their
ability.

God's Peace

Carmie

3) Mentally Challenged Child

I was very moved when I read your problem. You see, this is very near and
dear to my heart. When my husband and I first started attending church we
had a 13 year old son who is both physically and mentally challenged. Even
though he was 13 physically, mentally he was only 5. He attended the
Sunday school class and was disruptive because the class was too old for
him.  Be assured even though he may not have understood what was being
taught, he felt and understood the love of God. I am happy to report that
he has been baptized, filled with the Holy Ghost and in each and every
service he worships the Lord with all of his might. Enjoy the child for
her uniqueness, and when it becomes trying, just remember she is perfect
in God's eyes.

Your Sister in Christ,
Irma

4) Stoning Craft

PLEASE rethink teaching your little ones about the stoning of Stephen.
These children are MUCH too young to have any meaningful understanding of
this event; it will only serve to frighten them which should never be our
outcome when teaching our littlest ones.  Quite frankly I would hesitate
to think of involving a craft of any kind even with much older students,
it somehow, for me, trivializes the event. (although I realize there are a
lot of “cross crafts” out there for the crucifixion)  In any event, you
might seek some curriculum that will guide you in what is and is not
appropriate to introduce to children at different ages and stages of
development.

5) Need Used Lessons

I m interested in copies of used or old curriculums and even craft ideas.
I am in charge of Sunday School in my church in Lusaka zambia.  You can
contact me through my e mail address.   God bless you.

6) Kissing Kids

> help! some of the kids in our church have begun kissing each other.

At their age there is no need to make a big issue out of this. Have some
simple class rules that the children will be able to understand and
follow. I use a puppet to share my class rules which are based on 'The
Rules' skit that can be found on http://www.childrensministry.org/

7) Help underprivileged woman

Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is
having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their
quota of donating at least
one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman.

It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on
"Donating a Mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle).
This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers
use the number of daily visits to donate mammograms in exchange for
advertising!

Here's the website! Pass it along to people you know!

I'm looking for the words/verses to the children's song...

He rose (He rose)
He rose (He rose)
He rose from the grave
