Rally Sunday?

This fall I will be co-superintendent of our Sunday School program. Over the summer we will be planning for the year. In the past our Rally Sunday (first day of Sunday school) has not been that exciting. We would like to get the kids really excited. Does anyone have any neat ideas or a format they use for this day. Thanks!

Bible lesson site:

I stumbled across a Bible lesson site with visuals that have been so well
received by my kids in Children's church. Some of them need practice on the
part of the teacher but are worth the effort. It is
www.leafintime.com/Kidrock/ . Check it out. I hope you aren't sick of me
yet.

Responding to: Bible Craft Ideas/Containers

>Has anyone seen any good bible craft ideas that use the pretty plastic
>yellow containers that Nestle Quick drink mix comes in? How about the
>Dryel Boxes?

Good Afternoon!
Here's an idea you can use for Mother's Day or any other time of the
year: Create your own Mother's Day Gift or Heavenly Wagon

Our Nestle Quick Drink in North Carolina are still available in cans that
can easily be painted over with any desired color of acrylic paint. When
dry, neatly hand-paint an appropriate "Bible Theme, Scripture or the
words "Happy Mother's Day" on the can in a different color of paint.
Added decoration can be used by adding "stickers", glitter or lace and
ribbon. Containers can be filled with bubble bath or potpourri, if you
still have the plastic lids. If you believe painting is too messy and do
not wish to complete the craft in stages consider covering with fabric
using fabric/tackey glue.

If you wish to complete the Heavenly Wagon, follow the directions above,
however, turn the cans on their sides and glue four large buttons close
to corners using your hot glue gun. (NOTE: Two buttons on both sides of
can). A short shoestring or braided yarn can be used to make a handle.
Glue down using your glue gun. Can may be filled with assorted candies,
beans, etc.

Covering the Dryel Boxes and you can create a lovely "Stationary Holder"
for Mom or Dad. Even a "CD" Holder for your favorite Christian CDs.
Enjoy!

Making a bible?

Some years ago I heard of a craft which was making a bible out of bars of
soap. This craft was supposed to be very easy to make. Does anyone have the
instructions?

Thank you, Holly

Mother's day song?

Angie,
San Diego, Ca
I was wondering if anyone new a good Mother's day song, I could teach
the children to sing for their moms on Mother's day? One with a lot of
body, facial movement. Also, does anyone know of any children worship songs
websites that have songs that teach the songs with body, hands and face gestures
expression. I am trying to motivate the children to have fun worshipping God. Thanks
for all your help.
