1) Plagues of Egypt

>I am looking for a craft for the plagues of Egypt,

How about "hardened hearts" for Pharoah.

There is a product called "Crayola WetSet Clay" I've seen it in several
craft stores. You shape it however you want. In this case make a heart
and talk about Pharoah. You soak it in water 4- 10 hours and it hardens
permanently. If you didn't want to use this product you could use any
type of clay recipe and bake it, set it out etc.

God Bless!
Kim

2) Class gifts?

My name is Virginia and I am the Sunday School Teacher for our
Singles/College Class and my husband is the Youth Minister. Every
Christmas it is tradition at our church (small rural church in South
Georgia) to give your class small gifts. Between the two of us we have
approximately 35 students. I would appreciate suggestions. I need it to be
(without sounding cheap) inexpensive to do and at the same time something
that we can show Jesus' love. I really enjoy getting these newsletters. I
find myself printing and I have a file of them for future use. God bless
you all!

4) Olympics?

>I had a picnic for the 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th Grade classes that my husband and
>I had taught this year. We had Bible Olympics. It was really fun! I first
>read scripture about running the race. Then talked about we need to have

I really like the idea of the olympic activity. could you send me more
details of what you did? Thanks!

5)
Daniel in the Lion's Den

I need some craft ideas for Daniel in the Lion's Den. Please send me
anything you have! Thanks! Teresa

6) Clubs or programs?

I may be in charge of our Wednesday Evening Programs. I have tried to get information for clubs. We have used Pioneer Club's/Boy's Brigade and got tired of it. Since then we have not been able to find a good program. We are not a big church so cost does matter! I ordered All Star's For Jesus and it looks good but is very costly. Do any of you have ideas or other programs that work? Please let me know if you do.
Thank you, Chris Austin

7)
Godly character

Our Extreme Team kids (6 - 12 yrs) studied aspects of godly character last week.
We used the jellyfish as an example - jellyfish are transparent (we should be the
same on the outside as the inside) - jellyfish are soft and pliable (as we should
be in the hands of God, teachable, softhearted etc) - jellyfish have stingers (our
words can harm)- jellyfish float with the current (we must be responsive to God's
leading). We made cardboard jellyfish by cutting a circle about dinner plate
size. Cut from the edge to the centre once. Fold the two cut edges slightly over
each other to make a cone shape and staple. Cut long pieces of coloured paper or
crepe paper to make the stingers and staple or tape around the edges of the cone.
Either pre make cartoon eyes for them or the children can make their own. Put a
piece of string through the top (down to the inside) of the cone and fasten with
tape on the inside of the jellyfish and they can be hung as a mobile.

8)
Gifts Of The Spirit

> This year during Kingdom Kids, our midweek program for K-4th grade,
> we want to study the "Gifts of the Spirit" (From Romans 12:1-8, and 1
> Corinthians ch.12.) We will be covering: Faith, wisdom & knowlege, serving,
> miraculous powers, encouraging, healing, building the body, mercy, giving,
> and evangelism. Any ideas for crafts or games?

WE DID SOMETHING VERY SIMILAR AT OUR WEEKDAY BIBLE SCHOOL, BUT OUR THEME WAS "THE VIRTUES" WHICH IS VERY CLOSE TO THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT. ONE OF THE THINGS WE USED WAS A VIDEOTAPE SERIES FROM PBS AFTER SCHOOL SPECIALS ON THE VIRTUES. MAYBE YOU COULD UTILIZE SOMETHING LIKE THAT? THE KIDS ENJOYED IT.
GOD BLESS, JO ELLEN

9) Theme Dinner

We had a Sunday School teacher appreciation banquet
about a month ago - the theme was "Everyone a Lighthouse"
the decorations were lighthouses with little chocolate candies
shaped like shells (I don't know where they got them) and
different seaside objects. I don't know exactly what kind of
dinner Gary Griffith was speaking of, but the "lighthouse" theme
suggests that we are to be a lighthouse in our community -
drawing others thru the light of Jesus that shines in us. It was
very inspiring. Thanks again for this site - I enjoy reading each
update. Pat Rogers, Dade City, FL

10)
Fall Festival

Any good idea's for a theme for a "Fall Festival" to take place of Halloween?? We would like the children to wear costumes for a certain theme instead of them just doing whatever. That way we can hopefully stay away from unappropriate costumes. Also, I'm looking for some new game idea's for the festival.
Thanks, Lorrie
