you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it"
1 Corinthians 12:27 (NIV).
A game of team cooperation. You need 3-4 players per team.
Bible Point: The "Body of Christ-Game"
Christian lives. The hoops or teams, represent the Body of Christ, which
is made up of many parts: "the teammates." The body works more
effectively when the teammates cooperate with one another. Teams are more likely to win by turning
when it's the right time or not walking
too fast, so as
to make someone stumble,
and by listening and communicating with one another. And even though only one
team will win, this game reminds us that all of Christís body wins when we
You will need one Hoola-Hoop for each team. Designate a starting line and a
finish line, determine the distance based on the age of the players. You might
want to make a straight course, or put some curves into it and have the kids
race to one point and return to the starting line for their finish. The teams
get inside their Hoola-Hoops so that they are evenly spaced. Players face the
hoop and hold it with both of their hands at hip level. The players backs
should be facing each other. If you don't have Hoola-Hoops, have the kids lock
arms in a circle and face outward, with their backs turned inward. It is
important to stress the need to work together to accomplish the teams goal.
Otherwise someone will stumble and slow the team, the body, down!
