A great gift idea for Mother's Day
or Father's Day!
Object lesson: God created ladybugs for a very special
purpose in creation: they eat aphids, which are plant destroying bugs.
If God has made even ladybugs for a special purpose, how much more has he planned a special purpose for you? This is what the Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
What you need: smooth, rounded stone, red acrylic paint,
paint brush, black permanent marker, gloss spray paint. (You might
want the children to find their own 'perfect-shaped stone' to paint.)
What you do: Using your paint brush, paint the stone red,
allow to dry. Using your black permanent marker draw the head on one
end and an upside down "V" down the center of the stone to
mark off the wing sections. Now draw the dots on the ladybug's back. Spray
paint with gloss finish. If you're making this craft for Mother's Day,
print out the card, below, to go with it!
