Reflecting Christ CD-Mirrors

Supplies Needed

8-10 old CDís that you donít need or use anymore, hot glue gun, glue sticks. An adult will need to hot glue for younger kids.

Directions

Turn on your glue gun. While itís heating up, place the CDís on your work area with the shiny sides up. Arrange the CDís so they overlap one another. Keep one CD towards the top of your arrangement, so you can see the hole. You will use that hole to hang your CD-Mirror. (Even though this CD is at the top, it will also be the first CD you lay down on the table. It must be at the bottom of the pile, but the top of the arrangement.) When you are happy with your arrangement, pick up one of the CDís at the top of the pile and place the glue onto the CD below it. Press the CDís together for a few seconds, count to 20 to give them time to bond. Then pick up the two CDís you just glued, and place the glue onto one of the CDís below them. Press together, count to 20. Continue doing this till you reach the bottom of your pile. The last CD will be the one that has the hole showing so you can hang it up.

Bible Object Lesson

Have you ever looked into a mirror, combed your hair, fixed yourself up, then walked away and a few seconds later forgot if you combed your hair or washed your face? (I must confess I have!)

The Bible tells us that anyone who listens to the teachings of the Bible, but doesnít do what it says, is like someone who looks into a mirror, only to forget what he looks like a little while later. The Bible shows us the way we look--on the inside--the way we look in our spirit. Apart from Christ, we donít look very good! But, with Christ, God says we look great! God wants us to know his Word and do what it says. The next time you look into your CD-Mirror, ask yourself, ďDo I look like Jesus? Am I reflecting him to those around me?Ē (2 Corinthians 3:18, James 1:22-25)
