God KNEW that about us. HE created us. HE knows everything about us.
God KNEW when HE sent HIS Son, Jesus, that HE was sending what the world needed. HE was sending us a Savior – in the form of a man – GOD as a man – JESUS! God also knew that Jesus was going to die and go to heaven, so that we could go to heaven, too. God knew that when Jesus had to leave the earth that it would make the people sad. Jesus knew this too. So he told HIS
"I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for
God promised us in HIS Word, that we would have a COMFORTER for how long? FOREVER! And every Word in the Bible
absolutely True! In John 14:18, God’s Word says, "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you."
So when we ask Jesus to be our Savior, God’s Word tells us that HE will come to us. Jesus comes to us as the Holy Spirit.
Remember how our blankets and stuffed animals bring us comfort because we “remember” good things? Listen to what God’s Word promises
us. "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 14:26.
When you are a Christian, that is the COMFORT we have from the Holy Spirit. We can always remember how much God loves us. We can talk to Jesus when we pray and know that HE hears us. We can find and REMEMBER HIS promises when we read the Bible. THIS is our COMFORTER because we know that every word in the Bible is
So when you hold your blanket, your teddy bear, or curl up in the arms of someone that loves you, please REMEMBER that when you ask Jesus to be your Savior – you can have the best COMFORTER ever!
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for loving us so much. Thank you for the Holy Spirit that comforts us when we are sad or hurt.
In Jesus Name, AMEN!
