1) Mercy Game

The "Amazing Psalm 23 Race" has a portion of it devoted to mercy--surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. You can find it listed in our TV Show Type Bible Games page at:
http://sundayschoolnetwork.com/games-tv-Bible-games.html

2) Active Listening

Don't just read to your kids, encourage them to be active listeners. When reading Bible passages, give children motions or have them make up their own. For example, instruct kids to pinch their noses shut when they hear words or phrases which speak of sin (iniquity, transgression, evil) and make hand-washing motions for words of cleansing (mercy, forgiveness, right, justified). Emphasize the bolded words, pausing to give children time to make the motion.

"Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you are proved right when you speak and justified when you judge...

3) Bible ACTion Skits

Almost any story from the Bible can be acted out (pantomimed) by children, while a narrator reads from Scripture. For example, Moses at the Burning Bush: one child would pretend to be Moses and a few children pretend to be the burning bush. To "act out" the bush, children would kneel on the ground with their hands raised in the air and move their arms and fingers to represent the flames.
