1) Eyes to See, Ears to Hear - Children's Message

Props: An un-baked potato (so it still has the brown skin on it), and an ear of corn.

Have any of you noticed the gardens growing around our area? Do any of you have vegetable gardens at home or your grandparent’s or friends homes? (Ask the children to share about the gardens their family or friends have and what has been grown there.) Some people are growing potatoes like this one. (Show the potato)
We have a lot of fields of corn around us. Some gardens have corn growing right now, too. The plants are SO tall. How many of you have eaten fresh corn this year? (Show the ear of corn) Those really tall plants have delicious corn we can cook and really enjoy eating right off the cob! Guess what! If you are ever near a garden you should be very careful what you say and do! I’m warning you! You really can’t do anything or have any secrets if you are in a vegetable garden. Do you know why? 2) Unchurched Kid's Activity Lesson

This 15-25 minute lesson is designed for use with about 50 non-Christian children at an outdoor camp, but it could be used with a group of any size or stage. Indoor or outdoor setting is fine, but because of nature-focus, outdoors is better.

Blindfold activity – get one blindfolded child to reach into a bag and pull out an item. They must describe it to the seeing children. Then get seeing children to help with descriptions. Remove blindfold – was this what you’d imagined the item would look like? Repeat. (Can be done in small groups, swapping items.)

(Choose odd looking items for the bag – ones that children won’t be able to fully describe by touch. I had colorful bottles with bright pens inside, posters, homemade crafts, etc)

Nobody has seen God. In some ways it’s like He’s here but...to get the rest of this lesson, visit our
