Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! 2 Cor. 9:15 (NIV)

November is upon us and it's a mad dash to Christmas, so it seems, with Thanksgiving squeezed between and almost forgotten. (This is most evident in stores where Halloween and Christmas decorations stock the shelves at the same time. Ug!)

However, I think it's rather appropriate that November is the month before we celebrate the birth of God's indescribable gift—his beloved Son! Now this is something for which we can be thankful!

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 (NIV)

What better way to begin the celebration of Christmas than with hearts of gratitude and thanksgiving expressed during the entire month of November!
