I have several packets containing Pre-School teaching pictures that are
needing a new home. I would be glad to ship them at no cost to you.  If
you can use them great, if not feel free to pass them along or destroy.

4) Empty Prescription bottles
>Hello, does anyone know of a craft idea with empty prescription bottles.
>I have lots of them and wish I could think of a craft for them.
Hi my name is Rebecca and I have an idea for your empty precription
bottles.  I have actually done this.
Take the bottle clean it well !  On the computer Type you up
a "prescription"  Just like one that comes from your pharmacy:  But you
put on it:
RX:  (name of receipiant)
For:  Health, Hope, Happiness
read one daily or as needed for inspiration
Contains:  31verses   KJ / NIV
Important :  Prolonged use may eliminate tension, anxiety, insomnia, fear
and despair.
May cause Lightheartedness
Made with Love by: (your name)
Make you up 31 scripture verses containing to Health, Hope, Happiness and
put them inside the bottle -
tape the Instructions to the bottle (such as the pharmacy wood)
- the new papers you can get now work wonderfully for this stuff - project

Dangerous Journey of Sherman the Sheep

Today's Christian tweens (ages 9-13) face unprecedented levels of pressure
to conform to society's values, and are naturally questioning the
teachings of the church. "The Dangerous Journey of Sherman the Sheep"
by Dean Davis, is a youthful allegory about fitting in with peers,
overcoming fears and temptation, and learning what it means to grow up.

What has been your most, or one of your most, successful ideas.
Please tell SSTN about one or more of the following topics:

Fall Festival Outreach?

Is there anything you'd change if you were to do it again?

6) God is like...

God is like..
He works miracles.

God is like...
He's got a better idea.

God is like...
He's the  real thing.

God is like...
He cares enough to send His very best.

God is like...
He gets the stains out that others leave behind.

God is like...
He  brings good things to life.

God is like...
He has everything.

God is like...
Try him,  you'll like Him.

God is like...
You can't  see him, but you know He's there.

God is like..
He's ready when you are.

God is like..
You're in good hands with Him

God is like...
VO-5 Hair Spray
He holds through all kinds of weather.

God is like...
Aren't you glad you have Him?  Don't you wish everybody did?

God is like...
Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet nor ice will keep Him from His
appointed destination.

7) Multiage youth groups

Hi,  I am respnding to the topic of multiaged youth groups.
Right now, I am going to a church that is just starting out.  We don't
even have our own building yet, and our sundayschool class is pretty
small.  We have a nursery and one sunday chool class.  We have kids from
like four or five years old to to like nine or ten years old.  This past
sunday we only had four kids.  But anyway, I have been observing the class
the past couple weeks cause I am going to start teaching.  A lesson and
activity you may want to do is Noah's Ark.  Read the story out of the
bible.  Then, this is an ideal that I want to do.  The ideal is split the
kids up into a few groups, and give them paper and cryons.  Tell each
group to draw one part of the scene of the stor of Noah's ark.  Then when
they are done you can put them up somewhere in the room by each other.
Let me know what you think and I hope this helps you out    God Bless,

Kali Ploucher  from NJ

8) Prescription bottles

At the present time I am making use of prescription bottles like this:
as a favor for homecoming 2005

First I removed the existing labels by soaking the bottles in Amway LOC
for a couple days and labels came off easily

I made 3 labels:

One with a lighthouse (found on clip art)
Jesus is the Lighthouse
A dose of His Word a day keeps the devil at bay
Homecoming 2005

Second one smily faces (clip art also)
Daily intake: 1-a-day to keep a smile on your face
Refills: God's word

Third one
old fashion RX bottle (clip art)
God's Miracle Drug
Take one-a-day to keep the devil away

These fit on a regular address label so you can peel off and stick to
clean bottle

Inside we put short scripture verses - ex. Phillipians 4:19;
Nehemiah 8:10;Luke 15:7;Psm 91:2;Gen 16:13;Psm 91:11;
Psm 23:1;John 14:6;1 John 4:8 - 14
per bottle two week supply.
Thought of putting 30 in but that would be too mind boddling.

Hope this helps.
God bless,
Peggy Owen

9) Sunday School falling apart
We are also having problems with our Sunday School dwindling. we have
quite a few potential students. Our VBS was very successful this year so
we decided to use this curiculum to start our Sunday School. We had a kick
off for Sunday School on a Wednesday night and served hot dogs and snacks
and went over some of the music from VBS and had games. We had 37 children
attend. Ours is a VERY small church so this number was great. We decided
to give tokens (awards) to the children for attending S.S., for learning
Bible verses, for attending Church and for bringing a guest to S.S. On
Sunday we had 21 in Church and at the Wednesday evening get together there
were about 7 children that told us they were going to be gone on that
Sunday but would be there the following week. We are excited about the
The down side is we got some criticism from 1 person that we were paying
the kids to come to S.S. We feel that is a reward. It talks in the Bible
several times about God giving awards.
I should also tell you that after about 8 weeks if the kids have earned at
least 7 awards we are having a party of some kind on a Sunday evening or
Wednesday evening. We are going to give optional awards also so that it
will be possible for the kids to get enough to enjoy the fun times. The
children seem very excited about this and have told their parents they
want to come to S.S.
I would like to hear any comments about this way of getting the children
in S.S. and in church.
